David Llewelyn Samuels
David brings over 25 years of professional experience in senior leadership, strategy development, organizational development to his executive coaching and leadership development business. Over 20 of those years he led several change management initiatives, sponsored corporate-wide mentorship programs, on-boarding and development programs, and employee engagement and retention programs in his role as a business leader. He has consistently sought out as an internal expert on best practices in leadership, organizational development, and employee engagement. In his last leadership position at the largest Utility company in California, his expertise in the areas of leadership and culture allowed him to craft his own position training and coaching leaders on how to lead
and manage organizational culture.
David brings a depth of experience and a clear vision of developing authentic, self-aware leaders who lead with empathy, courage and emotional intelligence. His approach is guide his clients to develop their own self-awareness which will allow them to lead themselves, which then enables them to lead others more effectively. His approach allows leaders to understand how to leverage their strengths as well as those they lead, while creating a work climate which psychologically safe and positive.
David is a native of London, England where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Surrey. He has completed significant post-graduate work in Organizational Psychology and Leadership
Development at London Business School, and has earned certificates in leadership coaching and emotional intelligence training. He is currently consulting and coaching in both for-profit and non-profit industries, higher- education, and religious institutions. In addition, he is TEDx speaking coach, a keynote speaker at conferences, mediation and conflict resolution expert, and workshop facilitator. In addition, David is a founding member of Civitas Pasadena, an inaugural member of the Conscious Leadership Guild, trustee at Flintridge Preparatory School, and board member at The Elizabeth House in Pasadena.
